Michael R. Mendoza, age 52, of Wheatfield, IN passed away January 26, 2011 at his residence.
Michael was born September 24, 1958 in Hebronville, TX, the son of the late Ismael “Smiley” and Joyce (Cooper) Mendoza. He worked in the maintenance department at Gary Methodist Hospital for 29 years. On July 17, 1982, in Hammond, Indiana, Michael married Margaret Murray who survives.
He was a former leader of the Wheatfield Boy Scouts.
Michael is survived by his wife, Margaret Mendoza, three children, Amanda Mendoza of Monon, Daniel Mendoza of Indianapolis and Joseph Mendoza at home; two brothers, Al (Frances) Mendoza, David Mendoza and a sister Ginger (Greg) Watts all of Hammond.
