Michael R. Lewcyk, 59, of South Plainfield, NJ died Saturday October 29th, 2011 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. Born in East Orange, NJ Michael lived in Newark before moving to South Plainfield, where he lived most of his life. Michael was a letter carrier for the Plainfield Post Office for 32 years.
Michael was a member and union health benefit representative of the NALC Branch 396 of the Letter Carriers Union. He was also on the Board of Directors of the Plainfield Credit Union and a member of Rutgers University Court Club. He is preceded in death by his father Ramon Lewcyk in 1992. He is survived by his mother Stephanie Dudek Lewcyk, his sister Nancy Heroy and her husband Rich of Toms River.
Michael is also survived by his niece Tracy Heroy and nephew Greg Heroy both of Toms River, NJ.
