Michael Robert Klimek, 59, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Memorial Hospital.  He was born on July 2, 1958, in South Bend to Robert and Maxine (Jordanek) Klimek and was a lifelong resident.  Michael graduated from Adams High School and is also a graduate of the Mechanic and Diesel School in Colorado.  He was employed at UPS for over 20 years, eventually retiring from that company.  While there, Michael was a proud member of Teamsters Union #710.  He lived his values by accepting the task of serving as Union Steward for several years.  Michael enjoyed many interests throughout his lifetime, with a special passion for music.

Michael is survived by his son, Dustin; grandchildren, Matthew, Elijah, Grant, Olivia; daughter-in-law, Becky; sisters, Kathy (Ron) Melser, Bonnie Nowakowski, Nancy (Keith) Bernicky; and several nieces and nephews.  Michael loved his family and was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather.  He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and loved when they called him Dzia Dzia.  His family and friends could always count on Michael to give them his help and support whenever it was needed.  Michael’s warm smile, generous spirit, and kind heart enriched the lives of everyone who knew him.  Michael will be missed more than words can express.

“And when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night.”  William Shakespeare
