Michael P. Pavelock, a lifelong resident of Beacon peacefully entered into rest Wednesday, November 20, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, with his loving family by his side, he was 80. He was born May 3, 1932, the son of the late Joseph and Agnes Jablonsky Pavelock. Michael was a retired foreman for Tuck Tape Industries, Beacon. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. On July 16, 1960 he married Mary L. Galletta at St. John’s Church in Beacon. Michael enjoyed gardening, cooking and bird watching. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Mary L. Pavelock at home, his five loving children, Judith Pavelock and her husband Robert Huron of Wappingers Falls, Michael Pavelock of Beacon, Dennis Pavelock of Beacon, Janice Burch and her husband Andrew of Beacon, Robert Pavelock and his wife Georgia of Greenwich, NY, four cherished grandchildren, Pedro Rivera III, Alexis Pavelock, Natalie Pavelock, Mikaela Burch, his beloved pet parrot Kikko, as well as several nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Andrew Pavelock and sister Rose Wiand.
