Michael Patrick Engels, 63, of Troutman, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 28, 2012.
He was born in Thayer, Indiana on March 21, 1949 to the late Everett Peter and Helen Fox Engels.
He was the Senior Commander of the Royal Rangers at Rensselaer First Assembly of God in Rensselaer, IN and also at United Faith Assembly of God in Charlotte. In 1985, he moved to Fort Mill, SC and, on April 13, 1996, he married his devoted wife, Mary Dianne.
He was a loving husband, father, “paw paw” and step-father who loved life and all of nature’s beauty. He spent the later years of his life raising Black Angus beef cattle and farming with his John Deere equipment and all the manual daily labor required regardless of the weather.
