Michael P. Ackler Sr., age 53, of Winsted, died on Saturday February 19, 2011 after a long illness at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Born on May 29, 1957 in Milford, he was the son of the late Eugene and Laura Lefleur Ackler. Michael was a longtime resident of Milford, before moving to Winsted and was a longtime friend of Bill W.
Survivors include his beloved son Michael P. Ackler Jr. of Stratford; Brother Eugene J. Ackler Jr. of Denver, CO; Sister Kathlene Bridge of Sandwich, MA. He was also survived by his faithful dogs, Happy Girl and Anastasia as well as many nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his brother Ernie Ackler.
