Funeral Services for Michael Wayne Jones, age 76, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, will be held Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at West Union Baptist Church.Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Union Baptist Church. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service.A native of Picayune, MS, he was a Insurance Broker and a member of West Union Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian who put his Lord first and made Him the cornerstone of his family. Uncle Mike loved his fellow church members like family and loved participating in every aspect of his church. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother and friend who made a huge impact on his fellow man. Mike was a veteran who served in the MS Army National Guard.He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ann Jones; his parents, Mordece Jones and Bonnie Jean Williams Jones; his son, John Charles Jones; his brothers, Bruce Porter Jones and Larry Lawrence Jones; and his sister, Betty Sue Salloum.Left to cherish his memory are his niece and caregiver, Anissa Lynn (Brian) Jones-Davis; his nieces and nephews, Laura (Eddie) Jones-Catchot, Jeanne Salloum-Deal, Susan (Donovan) Salloum-Whitfield, and Michael (Denise) Jones; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
