Michael Lee “Mike” Kline, 61, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital on Tuesday, March 18, following an extended illness.

He was born June 7, 1952, in Elkhart to the late Rev. Hubert and Nadine (Hawks) Kidder.

Surviving are his sons, Thomas (Justine) Kline of Osceola and Daniel (Amy) Kline of Goshen; his daughter, Nicole (Patrick) Gonser Kline of Wolcottville; brothers Chuck (Linda) Myers of Wakarusa, Kevin (Angie) Kidder of Winchester, Ky., Steve (Tammy) Kidder of Tucker Hollow, Ark., Sheldon (Melea) Kidder of Pyatt, Ark., and Mark Kidder of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters Sherry (John) King of Everton, Ark., and Sandy (Jerry) Honaker of Fort Worth, Texas; stepmother Sheryl Kidder of Harrison, Ark.; former spouse and mother of the children, Denise Kline; and his significant other, Cheri Whorwell, who survives him at home. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Along with his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a former spouse, Georgia Kline.

Mike was a local delivery driver for several area RV manufacturers over the years. He was an outdoorsman who lived life on his own terms and enjoyed horseback riding along wilderness trails and working in his yard. He was also an avid farming enthusiast who collected John Deere memorabilia.
