SALEM – Michael “Mike” A. Voytek, age 71, died October 16, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1947 in Salem, the son of Andrew M. and Hedwig A. (Luxa) Voytek.
Mike was a parts and sales representative at Evolution Ag, he was also the owner of Mike Voytek Paint and Repair. He previously was self-employed as a truck driver. Mike was a 1966 graduate of United High School. He participated in tractor pulls for numerous years and enjoyed taking his grandchildren out for breakfast before going to school.
Survivors include his wife Lori Voytek, whom he married August 22, 1974; a son, Matthew (Candace Hlinka) Voytek of Salem; step-children, Wayne (Kim) Strudthoff of Clyde; Wendy (Dave) Campbell of South Euclid and Lisa (Bill) Seymour of Seven Hills; two sisters, Kathleen Franzen of Phoenix, AZ, and Karen Wahl of Peoria, AZ; a brother, Jim (Patty) Voytek of Salem; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
