Michael Albert McDermott, 63, of Manchester, Maryland, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born September 26, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Bernard and Valentina (Ferrari) McDermott. He was the husband of Judy (Nadarzynski) McDermott.
Mike loved his job as a plans reviewer for WSSC plumbing firm in Laurel, Maryland where he was employed for the past 25 years. He enjoyed worship and other activities at Patapsco Pentecostal Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Jessica McDermott of Rodgers Forge, Tammi Gussio and husband Gene Kim of Sterling, VA, Jared McDermott and wife Caroline of New Market, Timothy McDermott of Orlando, FL, Benjamin McDermott of Westminster, Joy Wantz of Littlestown, PA, and Jeremy McDermott of Manchester; granddaughters, Brianna, Paige, Camden, Jill and Charlotte; sister, Maria Schmidt and husband Jim of FL; and brother, Bernard McDermott and wife Stephanie of FL.
