Michael M. Jensen, 78, of Centralia, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, at Centralia Manor. Mike, aka The Ranger, was born November 2, 1940, in Centralia, the son of Ralph M. Jensen and Nona (Tunnel) Jensen.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Charlotte (Henry) Jensen; his two sons: Stuart Jensen (Allison) of Littleton, CO and Brian Jensen (Julie) of Elgin, IL; two grandchildren: Lily and Wyatt Jensen; cousins: Virginia Heinzmann of Centralia, Paul Heinzmann and wife Martha of Centralia, and Paul Storment and wife Joann of Belleville.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Nona Jensen and several aunts and uncles. Mike attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO, graduating in 1962, and was a member of the Delta Tau chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He served in Vietnam as a Communications-Intelligence Officer for the Commander, Taiwan Patrol Force, 7th Fleet in Southeast Asia. His career in Commercial Real Estate afforded him many happy years living with his family in Colorado enjoying time in Denver, Granby, and Westcliffe. Mike was a collector of western memorabilia and loved going to auctions, horseback riding, studying history, telling stories, and traveling. Mike loved bacon with extra salt!
