Michael (Mac) Lyle McFarlane, 76 of Boise, ID passed away on September 11, 2015 from complications of COPD and Leukemia.
Born in Bremerton, Washington on September 3, 1939 to Edna and Charles McFarlane. Mac had a distinguished career in the US Air Force and as a civil servant with the Department of Defense.
Mac joined the US Air Force in July 1957 and traveled the world until his retirement in 1980.
He met Johanna Hagebeuk in Rudesheim Germany in 1961 and the two were married in Amersfoort, the Netherlands on December 18, 1964 and remained married until Johanna’s death in 2014.
Mac was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather who loved hunting, fishing, and working in the yard and will be deeply missed his family.
Mac is survived by his sister Ann Brown; brother Jim Clark; oldest son Johannes (Hemmy) and his wife Renee and daughter Sofia; and his youngest son Mike and his wife Sue and daughters Christine and Kelly.
