Michael Louis Couste, age 65, who lived in New Orleans, Metairie, Marrero and Plaquemine LA, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015.  After attending Francis T. Nicholls High School and LSUNO, Michael graduated from Delgado College with an Associates Degree in Biology.

Michael served with the United States Coast Guard Reserves from 1968 to 1976.  In his early life, he worked for the Federal Government at the United States Department of Agriculture.    

Since 2013, Mike lived at Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home.  Our family extends special thanks to the staff for the quality care and support everyone extended to him.  

Michael is survived by two siblings, Viola, (Raymond J. Couvillion), and Linda Ragas (Dennis J. Saucier); five nieces and nephews, Jane Bordelon, Robert Couvillion, Marc and Christopher Danner, and Leon Couste, III; nine great nieces and nephews (Tracy Vincent, Molly Bordelon, Zachary and Christian Couvillion, Alyssa, Meghan, Emerson and Miller Danner, and Max Couste); and two great-great nephews Max and Cam Vincent.

His parents, Leon H. Couste, Sr. and Viola Delaune Couste, and his brother, Leon H. Couste, jr., preceded Michael in death.
