Michael Lee Schulz passed away on March 14, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 76. He was born in Greeley, Colorado on July 4, 1944 to Herbert L. and Betty B. Schulz. Michael graduated from Highland High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Colorado State University in 1966.
Michael attended Officer Candidate School as a United States Marine and ultimately served as a Captain. Following his time in the military his occupation was as a Certified Public Accountant; he was the President of Schulz and Company, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA). He served on the Peer Review Board of the COCPA for many years.
Mike was an avid fisherman, a skill he enjoyed with his father and children. He was an enthusiastic Denver Bronco fan and never missed attending or watching a game. He also enjoyed playing golf and passed his love of the sport to his children. He loved watching his children participate in many sporting events and tried to never miss a game.
Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tracy, his children Morgan and Matt of Denver, CO, Greg of Steamboat Springs, CO, Todd of Fort Collins, CO and Brad of Ladera Ranch, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Hannah and Zoe, as well as his sister Judy and Nephew Kirt Schulz (Stephanie) of Tucson, AZ. Also included are many cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Betty and his niece Kelly.
