Michael Osterling, 31, died suddenly on April 9, 2020 in Boca Raton, FL. Michael was born in Naples, FL and grew up in Fort Myers, FL, graduating from Estero High School in 2007, and from University of Florida in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree from the Rinker School of Construction Management in the College of Design, Construction, and Planning.
He began his professional career with Moraca Builders in Boca Raton, and was proud about not only the success of the company, but also of his own opportunities for learning and growth.
Mike loved all things outdoors and was passionate about the environmental welfare of all living things, plant and animal. Taking his Jeep to go camping with family and friends was his favorite past-time. He loved natural settings, his Jeep, country music, and fixing up his new house. But most of all he loved his family and close friends.
Michael is survived by his parents, James and Ann Osterling of Gainesville: his beloved brother Jeffrey Osterling of Fort Myers, FL: aunts and uncles Karen Hull (Jeryce Boucher), Terri Shanks (Bob), Greg Osterling (Cindi), and Jay Osterling (Joann), and (Carole Merkle (Kent); along with many cousins and friends who loved him.
Memorial gifts will be graciously accepted for two of Mike’s treasured places: Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, 2500 Jupiter Park Drive, Jupiter FL 33458 : and Friends of Paynes Prairie, 100 Savannah Blvd, Micanopy FL 32667
