Michael L. Jacquette, age 47 of Stockton, IL, passed away at St. Anthony Hospital on Monday, August 13, 2018.

He was born on September 19, 1970 in Freeport, IL; the son of Claude and Christine (Polifka) Jacquette. He was a 1990 graduate of Stockton High School. He married Alena Clark on October 15, 2015.

Michael, also known as Mike or Doc, was a truck driver at IES Drilling Supplies. He enjoyed working with his friends at Skate Station.  Prior to this, Michael enjoyed his work at Spahn and Rose in Stockton. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, going out to dinner, cheering for the Bears and Cubs, swimming and playing water polo, gardening, grilling, and offering a hand wherever he could. Michael could often be found helping at community events including the Stockton Christmas Community dinner, the Lions 4th of July Chicken dinner, and fundraising for Stockton Fireworks as well as participating in various community projects. Michael had a BIG heart and a gift to make people feel at ease and special. He always had a smile and could make one laugh in any situation. He was a loving husband, a caring father, an amazing son, an inspiring brother, a special uncle, a loyal friend, and a hard worker.

He is survived by his wife, Alena (Clark) two daughters Maranda Schaney and Hayley Feary Jacquette, mother, Christine Jacquette, brother, Mark Jacquette, sister, Misty (Josh) DeHaven, brother-in-law, Rick (Deb) Clark, nephews, Kiel Katzenberger,  Kasen DeHaven, Cole and Kaleb Clark, and nieces, Kinzy “Blondie” DeHaven, and Camryn Clark. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Jacquette.
