Michael L. Atkins, 57, of Williamsport, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born January 24, 1954 in Danville, he was a son of Norman L. “Baldy” and Beverly Joan (Beatty) Atkins.
He was a 1971 of Williamsport High School, and had an associate degree from Williamsport Area Community College. Mike was employed by Shop-Vac as a computer program analyst for over 10 years. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Watsontown, and also was a member of the Wheel Inn. Mike enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, boating, and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Zephyrhills, FL, are his wife, Christine E. (Peterson) Atkins, brother Gregory (Susan) Atkins of Drums, two God-Children Amber and Matthew Mabie, mother-in-law Shirley Peterson, brother and sister-in-laws Howard and Jeannie Peterson, Neil Peterson, Wendy and Charles Artman, Scott and Deb Peterson, and Lisa and George Doebler, and many nieces and nephews.
