Michael Joseph McDowell of Indianapolis, Indiana was born May 30, 1956 to Mary Lee Doleman and Clovis McDowell, Sr.
Micheal was nurtured throughout his life by Johnnie Mae McDowell-Heath and John Henry Doleman (Pops).
Michael spent most of his childhood in York Pennsylvania where he attended William Penn Senior High School graduating in 1974. He went onto Arizona State University, pursuing a degree in Business Administration. He played football in high school and college. He always rooted for the underdog.
Michael did attend Crossroads Bible College later in life. Studying Biblical Theological Studies. One of his morning routines was listening to Pastor Charles Stanley w/a good cup of coffee.
Michael served in the United States Army earning an Honorable Discharge.
Michael has two daughters Victoria Conger and Misha McDowell.
Michael was self-employed with a skill set in roofing, painting and construction.
Michael’s ministry on earth was to help those less fortunate than others. He was a friend to all and stranger to none with a great sense of humor.
Michael was a (Great) debater and communicator. He would challenge you regardless of the topic. He would always say “Make it make sense”.
Michael was an excellent cook, stylish dresser, and loved spicy foods and sweets.
Michael departed on July 03, 2021 into the arms of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Clovis McDowell, Sr., mother, Mary Lee Doleman; brothers, Stephen Keith McDowell and Christopher John Doleman.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories, daughters; Victoria Conger (Jon) and Misha McDowell, grandsons; Jalen, Javon, Jon Jr., Jaron and Legend Michael Patrick Rose, sisters; Veronica Spencer, Marilyn A. Rhodes (Leroy), Stephanie McDowell, Monica Doleman, and Casha Doleman, brothers; Clovis McDowell, Jr. (Trina), Warren McDowell, Darryl A. Doleman (Francine) and Kenneth T. Doleman (Jennifer). He leaves the mothers of his daughters, Tina Milam and Gina McDowell. His best friend Stan McCroy; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
