Michael J. Effinger, age 22, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 in Rensselaer, Ind.
The son of Joe and Michelle (Taylor) Effinger, he was born on December 8, 1997 in Rensselaer, Ind. Michael attended and graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 2016.
Throughout his high school career, Michael was active in bowling and baseball. He was a ten year 4-H member where he showed rabbits at the Jasper County Fair. Following high school, Michael was employed at American Filtration Systems in Rensselaer, Ind. Michael had a fantastic personality and an infectious smile that would warm your heart. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Michael was a member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his parents, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Thomas Effinger and CarolAnne (Williams) Effinger; maternal grandparents, Raymond Taylor and Arlene (Hancock) Taylor; and his aunt, Linda Taylor.
