He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Atkinson.Survived by his Mother, Cyntha Johnson Atkinson of Hermitage, TN. Children, Jessica M. Atkinson of Clarksville, TN and Robert M. Atkinson of Dickson TN. Sister, Janice M. Atkinson of Hermitage, brother Neal S. Atkinson of Philadelphia, MS also many nieces and nephews.Michael graduated from DuPont High School in 1978.
