Michael Jerome Fugate Sr.,69 of Moberly passed away at his home with his family at his side Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was born December 29, 1950, in Moberly to the union of Arthur and Edith (Young) Fugate. He was a retired educator.
Michael married Wanda Tolson, on November 1, 1975, in Moberly and she survives; also surviving include his children, Michael Fugate and his wife Michelle, Anthony Tolson, Michael J. Fugate and his wife Danielle, Carl Fugate and his wife Kiersten, Marjorie Haney and Vickie Brown, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Nettie Jordan, Sister-in-law Rosie Stephens, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including best friend Gary Cason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Ceola Fugate, uncle and aunt Carl and Frances Graves, brother John Carl Stephens, sister and brother-in-law Carletta and Phil Saunders, son Darrell Brown, sister Nancy Smith, aunt Georgia (Fugate) Rivera, uncles KT, Edward JR, and Chester Fugate.
Michael was a 40-year member of the Masonic Lodge, Mid-Missouri Fatherhood Coalition, Grant Chapel Laymen Board, and Trustee of Grant Chapel Church.
