Michael Jeffery Shaydik Jr.Age 70 of Corunna passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Per Michael’s request cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.Michael was born November 12, 1948 in Jackson, the son of Michael and Marleene (Kettler) Shaydik.He graduated from Owosso High School, class of 1967 and married Barbara Ellen Woolsey in Corunna on July 27, 1990.Michael was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed all sports. Most of all he loved attending his grandchildren’s many games and activities.He retired from General Motors in July of 1998 after many years of service.Michael is survived by his wife Barb of 29 years; children Rodney (Alicia) Shaydik, Jodelle Shaydik, Jefferey Shaydik and Rache’ (Shawn) Whitney; grandchildren Brian, Garrett, Kayla, Danielle, Carlie, Dylan, Jessa, Jeffery, Jeveah, Cassidy and Allie; great-granddaughter Laine; siblings Mark (Barb) Snyder, Krista (Steve) Fedewa, Craig (Michelle) Snyder, Frank Shaydik, Steve (Tammy) Shaydik, Ken Shaydik, Sue (Rick) Lake, Jackie Ecklin and Mary Shaydik; several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.He was predeceased by his parents and grandson Michael.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
