Michael J. Kinkin, 66, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday night September 19, 2019 at Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Michael was born on August 9, 1953 in Ottawa to Alexis and Harriet (Monroe) Kinkin. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1972. Michael worked as a welder for Caterpillar for 40 years.
Michael enjoyed gardening, Breakfast with friends, motorcycles, welding, watching TV, using short wave and CB radios, and especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by 4 children, Kara (Jay) Sinde, of Sheridan, Jana (Jeb Girard) Kinkin, of Streator, Cole (Erin) Kinkin, of Ottawa, and Lara (Jacob Rodgers) Kinkin, of Ottawa, 3 grandchildren, Jack Kinkin, Oliver Kinkin, and Emberlyn Sinde, 2 brothers Charles and Robert Kinkin, and a sister Rose Poris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rita Kien, a brother Alexis Donald Kinkin, and a son Michael Gregory Kinkin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Sinde, Jeb Girard, Jacob Rodgers, AJ Frig, Luis Jimenez, and Mike White.
