Obituary of Michael J. Gray

Gray, Michael J. “Mak”, of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on August 25, 2018 at his home. He was 73 years old.
Michael Joseph Gray, Sr. was born on June 18, 1945 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Governor and Bessie (Scott) Gray. He married Laura F. Dembinsky on September 16, 1988; she survives him.
He worked as a kiln operator for Malleable Iron for 40+ years until his retirement in 2007. Mak loved to gamble—to the point he and his family was confident that he ‘bought’ the new Soaring Eagle casino. He also enjoyed watching the news, walking the neighborhood, and bike-riding with Micah. Even as Mak made sure you knew when he wasn’t in agreement with something, he was still the absolute best father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He was the hardest worker and the most amazing provider. To Mak, family was everything and he was grateful for every moment.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Laura; son, Michael (Miranda Acevedo) Gray, II; twin girls, Aymee (fiancé, Rell Dobson) Gray and Kylee (Jemar Davis) Gray; four grandchildren: Micah, Jayce, Markiah, and Aaliya; brothers and sisters: Clifton (Gloria), Governor, Nancy (Johnny) Woodson, Tommy Ray (Mabel) Gray, Patricia, and Polly Ann.
Mak was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters: Robert, Betty Ann, Anita, Willie, and John.
