Michael Henry Hequet, 73, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, September 3, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 14, 1938, in Kankakee, the son of Lorraine Nourie Hequet Lewis. He married Diane Sims on March 27, 1978, in Macomb, and she survives.
He is also survived by daughter Dawn (Jare) Kohn of Rochelle; son Michael J. Smith of La Salle; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Sandi Walker of Milo, ME; and several very special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hequet was a retired computer systems analyst. He was a US Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Vietnam era. Michael enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. He was very artistic and loved to sketch.
