Michael L. Gneiting passed away at home on Thursday, February 1, 2018, in Idaho Falls. He was 68 years old.
Michael was born January 14, 1950, in Rigby, Idaho, to Leo and Margaret Gneiting. He married Shirley Kay Moss on September 9, 1971, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Michael graduated from Bonneville High School in 1968 and attended both Ricks College and BYU. He worked for a brief time in California before moving back to Idaho Falls to work for Boise Cascade for 42 years and retired in 2015.
Michael played fast pitch softball for over 20 years. In 2004, he was inducted into the Idaho Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame. He had an event-filled childhood growing up in Lewisville.
