Michael Garrett Watkins, age 37, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 17, 2014 at UHC with his family by his side. Michael was born on June 6, 1977 at Fairmont General Hospital. Michael graduated from Fairmont State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice; he was a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church; loved to make people laugh and as a hobby he played the stock market; he also golfed, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being a nanny for his twin nieces. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Jo (Lewis) Watkins; 2 children, Kelsey Marie Watkins and Michael Garrett Watkins II, all of Bridgeport; parents, William and Kathryn Watkins, of Bridgeport; parents-in-law, Gary and Cheryl Beatty, of Clarksburg; sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Ruthanne Watkins and Dr. Kristian Morrison, of Bridgeport; brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Shelby Watkins, of Bridgeport, paternal grandmother, Barbara Watkins Brake, of Grafton; several nieces and nephews also survive.
