Michael George Balascak, age 90, beloved husband of 65 years to Shirley (Shaffer) Balascak of Milford, entered peaceful rest on August 17, 2021 at Lord Chamberlain Rehabilitation Center in Stratford.
Michael was born on June 12, 1931 in Hazleton, PA and was the son of the late George and Mary (Baron) Balascak. Mr. Balascak was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was He was also a member of the Raymond T. Goldbach, VFW Post #9460 in Stratford. He was an electrician at Sikorsky Aircraft for 38 years before his retirement.
In addition to his devoted wife, Michael leaves his son, Mark Michael Balascak and his wife Kathleen Brandon and his daughter, Karen Marie Balascak all of Milford and several nieces and nephews. His siblings, George, John, Nicholas, Joseph Balascak and Helen Mercyniak predeceased him.
