Michael E. Martin passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 22, 2015, at his residence.
Mike was born on October 9, 1961, in Kalamazoo.
Michael was a humanitarian intellect intent on finding ways to a more just and equitable world. He was a creative and talented artist and an accomplished university student with impressive writing skills. He was a most compassionate person who cared deeply about the earth, it’s people and animals (a library of knowledge and a true friend to the world). This was his passion and he lived it to the very end. To know Michael was to love Michael. He was encouraged by the prospects of the Bernie Sanders campaign for president.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earnie and Pearle Jones; aunts and uncles, David Jones, Audrey (Daniel) Baldwin, and Sharon O’Steen.
Michael was the beloved son of Neysa Imus, who survives. Also, surviving are his brother, Doyle (Susan) Martin; niece, Caitlyn Martin; and aunt, Kay Taylor. There will be no visitation or service.
