Michael Earl Clarke, a loving husband, father, grandfather and beloved member of his community, passed away on June 27th, 2024, at the age of 70. Michael was born on January 16th, 1954, in Washington DC to the parents Dorothy Earl Clarke. Michael attended District of Columbia Public Schools until he graduated from Eastern High School. Throughout his life Michael embodied the spirit of the American Dream, working tirelessly to serve and protect those around him. Mike had a successful career at the DOC, and U.S Marshall warrant squad providing 38 years of service before retiring in 2008. Outside of his professional life, Michael had a deep passion for casinos and loved to play the numbers daily. He was the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His presence illuminated every room he entered, and his warm smile brought comfort to all who knew him. Mike had a nurturing spirit and was known for his work ethic. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy & Earl Clarke, his two brothers Cedric and Lawerence. He’s survived by his wife, Rosetta, his only child, Michael ( Diamond) Clarke, his bonus-daughter Michelle ( Gregory) Young, his grandchildren G’yoni Ashe, Jacobi Bryant, D’Marri Clarke, Dynver Clarke, Marz Clarke, his mother in law Rosa , his two sister in laws Linda ( Lee), Lisa ( Charles), his brother in law Emmett (Felicia), and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him He will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laugh, and his unwavering commitment to his family and community.
