Michael E Brand III 1986-2021 – Michael E. Brand III, age 34 of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2021. He was born on September 21, 1986 to Michael E. Brand, Jr. and Laurie Fitch in Norwich, CT.
Michael attended Norwich Tech and Adult Ed. He was employed for 10 years at Electric Boat.
Michael is survived by his wife Melissa Quercia, sons Michael and Mason Brand, and his father Michael E. Brand, Jr. of Norwich. Survivors also include his stepfather William Burns of Norwich, brothers Christopher and Zackary Brand, sisters Courtney Burns of Griswold and Aleaha Brand of Norwich, Aunty Beth O’Brien of Preston, Aunt Shelley Brand Moore of Lisbon as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew.
Michael will be missed by his Grandparents Michael and Pamela Brand of Norwich and Grandmothers Trudy Martin of Griswold and Mae Burns of Jewett City.
Michael was predeceased by his mother Laurie Fitch and his grandfather Frank Fitch.
Michael was a loving and devoted father to Michael and Mason, always putting their welfare above his own. They were his whole life. Michael had a love and talent for cooking. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his boys. He was an avid hunter. Michael liked nice things like shiny shoes, spiffy clothes, and fancy cars.
Michael was very energetic, a go-getter. He became independent at a young age, always employed no matter what the job was. He always took the initiative to advance himself during his employment.
Michael’s smile and love will live on through his sons. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
