Michael Darnell Carroll (Mike), of Virginia Beach, passed away on June 27, 2023 in Norfolk, VA.
Michael was born on April 21, 1957 in Princess Anne County (Virginia Beach), to the late Wilford Wendell Carroll and the late Aline Painter Carroll.
He attended Norview High School and after high school he served briefly in the United States Army. Mike worked at The Virginian Pilot for over 10 years before taking a job at Herold Moving Company. Mike was always a kind and respectful person. He was the type of person that if you needed something done he was always there to help out. In his spare time Mike loved to do landscaping with his brother-in-law Kevin (Fred and Grady Inc.).
Mike considered himself to be quite the handyman, you could always count on him to do small task around the house or yard.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Wilford and Aline Carroll; his son Jarrod Lamb; and his nephews Rylyn Rountree and Timothy Carroll.
Mike is survived by his wife Carol Carroll; daughters Brandy Lamb, Michelle Lamb, Yuko Carroll; son Kameron Chancellor; stepdaughter Stacie Brackett; stepsons Donte and LJ Brackett; siblings Bernard Carroll (Michelle); Timothy Carroll (Veronica); Sidney Carroll (Sally); Tina Chapman (Kevin) 8 grandchildren, 2 aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
