He was born February 13, 1953, in Chicago, the son of Michael and Shirley (Bell) Gentile.
Mike dedicated the years of his life to his family and fostering a love of the outdoors and showing the importance of hard work to his children. He raised his children to be self-sufficient and handy, so that they would never need to rely on anyone else. He accomplished his life goals and spent his days enjoying his yard, dogs, and making others laugh with his incredible sense of humor.
