Michael Collins Hall, 62, Anderson, passed away December 31, 2008 at Community Hospital, Anderson.

He was born June 14, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life. He also resided in Okeechobee, Florida several months of the years. He was a 1965 Anderson High School graduate where he participated on the high school Track Team.

Michael served his country in the US Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Conflict from 1967-1968. He had worked for General Motors, was an avid golfer and golf instructor and sports announcer for WHBU Radio. He had owned and operated The Madison County Globe in Pendleton. He also authored a book titled “The Lever System”.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Big Lake Post #10539 in Okeechobee, Florida; a charter member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4509 in Cypress Hut, Okeechobee, Florida; life member of Amvets Post #2001 in Okeechobee, Florida; Marine Corps League in New Port Richie, Florida; Moose Lodge #2417 in Buckhead Ridge, Florida; American Legion Post #127 in Anderson; Madison County Voiture #510 40 & 8; Post Commander of the VFW Post 9528 in Buckhead Ridge, Florida in 2007. He helped his fellow veterans seize the benefits that they were entitled to.

He is survived by his devoted wife whom he married April 30, 2006, Brynda Eagle Hall; daughter, Angela Hall of Anderson; step-son, Lance Kayla Blossom of Anderson; step-daughter, Staci Chad Law of Fishers; father, Robert Margaret Hall Sr. of Anderson; mother, Marcia Robert Schweitzer of Fairmount; sisters, Sue Anne Terry Cogswell of Alexandria, Patricia Scott Gove of Ohio, Barbara Bud Curtis of Anderson; brother, Robert Hall Jr. of Anderson; step-granddaughter, Greenleigh Blossom and several nieces & nephews.

He is also survived by his special brothers in arms and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion & Opal Collins and Albert & Alma Hall; a nephew, Bobby Lee Hall; and also his very special friend, J.T. McCafferty.
