Mr. Michael L. Booker age 62 of Marianna passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his home. He was a self employed truck driver and had lived in this area since 2001 having moved here from Griffin, GA. Mr. Booker was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed gardening, fishing and raising hogs and chickens. He was born in Crestview, FL to the late Johnny L. and Amy Lou Booker. Friends and family were his greatest love. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Girtie Booker; brother, Marlin Booker and his sister, Janice Brown. Survivors include his son, Curtis Carpenter and wife, Sherry of Independence, KY; daughters, Tammy Suttles and Diana Wiggins and husband, Samuel all of Cocoa, FL, brothers, Larry W. Booker and wife Gloria Jean and their grandson, Tyler Farris of Marianna, Johnny Dewayne Booker of Winter Haven, FL; nephew Joey Booker and wife Sally and their son Bradley Booker of Sink Creek, FL; niece Karen Smith and husband Sidney and her daughter Breanna Taylor; grandchildren, Brandi Burgett, Tyler Carpenter, Cassandra Carpenter; close friends, Cresh and Alisha Harrison and daughter Haley, Raymond White, Jimmy White, Bud Folson, Nelson Manquel and wife Annie; a host of other nieces nephews and extended family.
