WINSTED –NASH – Michael B. Nash, Sr., 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021 after complications from surgery. He was the loving husband of Cathleen J. (Carr) Nash for 4 years but they were happily together for 30 years. Born February 14, 1952 in Winsted; the son of the late George “Gene” and Jeanne (Buckland) Nash. Mike was an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, brother and all around great guy. He was very hardworking and was employed for many years at SKF in Winsted as a Machine Operator. He loved fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Even though Mike had a language barrier, he never showed it and never met a stranger. His smile was infamous and he is already deeply missed. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Michael Nash, Jr., and wife Melba and Wendy Singletary and husband Donny, all of Georgia; step children, Michael Pixley, Jonathan Carr and Lisa Pixley; siblings, George “Butch” Nash and wife Laurie, Thomas Nash and wife Lisajean, Mary Martarainen and husband Mark and Christopher Nash; beloved grandchildren, Alex, Liam, Caeden and Stephanie; one great grandchild on the way; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Chet and Robert.
