Michael Andrew Quantz, 34, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Michael was born on November 15, 1987 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert William and Scharlotte Leann (Hammond) Quantz.
Michael, nicknamed “Whitey” by his friends and family, worked as a utility worker for MacAllister Rentals for six years. He loved the outdoors and could often be found going on a run, playing with his dog, Spencer, or even skydiving. He dreamed of living self-sufficiently, off-grid and spent a year just outside of Eminence, Missouri on eleven acres pursuing this dream before he became ill. He became very interested in Bluegrass music the last few years of his life and attended Bluegrass music festivals as much as he could. Above all, he treasured playing videogames and spending time with his boys.
Michael is survived by his four sons, Braxton, Chase, Gauge, and Jeffery, all of Indianapolis; his parents, Robert Quantz of Indianapolis and Scharlotte Quantz of Franklin; his two brothers, Robert (Christine) Quantz II of Indianapolis and Nathan (Jen Feedler) Quantz of Westfield, IN; several nieces and nephews.
