Michael Allen Smithers, 64, of Beech Grove, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in Indianapolis.
He was born June 1, 1951, in Beech Grove, to John and Ruby (Bauer) Smithers.
He was a supervisor at the Ford Motor Company for over 25 years, retiring in 2011.
He served his country, in the National Guard, for one term. His true passion was golfing; if it was nice outside, so was he. He also enjoyed doing business on Ebay, fishing, and everything Elvis.
He is survived by his two children, Carey Smithers of Carmel and Bryan Smithers of Beech Grove, Mike’s companion, Betty Yosha of Indianapolis, two sisters, Brenda (Terry) Bevers of Beech Grove and Sandy (Shawn) Bakies of Whitestown and a granddaughter, Hannah Skidmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Smithers, and one brother, Danny J. Smithers.
