Michael A. Vitaletti, 81, of 279 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven passed away April 6, 2010 in Grimes/St. Regis Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Barbara Horvath Vitaletti. Mr. Vitaletti was born in New Haven Sept. 13, 1928, son of the late Henry G. and Maria Marrandino Vitaletti. He worked as a tire builder for the Armstrong Rubber Co. for 36 years until his retirement in 1981. He served as a member of the Allingtown Vol. Fire Dept. and the West Shore Vol. Fire Dept. for 25 years before being designated a Veteran Fireman in 1981 He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a very loyal New York Yankee fan. He is survived by two daughters, Betty Ann (James) Battista of East Haven and Marie (Charles) Cretella of West Haven; two grandchildren, Jennifer Battista and Michael Cretella; and a great grandson, Christopher Lancio.
