Merry Diane “Dinee” Fanning, 54, of Virginia, IL died Monday evening, July 5, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born December 22, 1955, in Beardstown, IL; the daughter of Martin Jr. and Shirley May Hudson Fanning.
She is survived by a daughter, Brandi Siders (husband, Cary) of Virginia; a brother, David “Buck” Fanning (wife, Vicki) of Virginia; two sisters, Deborah Moore (husband, Don) of Virginia and Dee Beniach (husband, Marshall) of Jacksonville; five nieces and nephews, Brooke Fanning Pearn of Virginia, Shane Fanning (wife, Beth) of Naples, Martin Fanning (fiancé, Jamie Lewis) of Virginia, and Brian and Brittany Beniach, both of Jacksonville; and three great-nieces and nephews, Quinton David Pearn and Sarahlyn Elizabeth Pearn, both of Virginia and Connor James Fanning of Naples.
Ms. Fanning provided babysitting services for Virginia families and worked as a clerk for the Cenex Service Station in Virginia. She was a member of the Virginia United Methodist Church and a dedicated caretaker for her beloved cats, Midgee and Frankie. Known for her thoughtful, caring, and generous nature, Dinee had a true passion for life and was deeply devoted to her family and friends.
