Merrillyn J. McDonnell, 90, of Anderson, passed away on August 13, 2015 at the St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on August 11, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio and resided most of her life in Anderson. Merrillyn graduated from Middletown High School. She was a homemaker for the greater part of her life, and proudly raised three, loving children who will miss her dearly.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Jaycees. Merrillyn, and her late husband, Cleatis, enjoyed bridge club, dancing, bowling, and traveling. She loved holidays with her family, and spending time with her granddogs. She held family very near to her heart.
Merrillyn is survived by her loving daughter, Beverly (James) Ellis of Flower Mound, TX; sons, Larry (Darlene) McDonnell of Anderson, and Jim (Angie) McDonnell of Anderson; grandchildren, Lisa (Stephen) Edwards, Jennifer (Luke) Pearson, and Laura (Curt) Corzine; great-grandchildren, Hannah Corzine, and Avery and Ryan Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cleatis C. McDonnell; mother, Frances Mills; father, Merrill Mills; and brother, Jack Mills.
