Merrill J. Sanderson, 87 of Cliff, NM passed away March 15, 2017 at his home in Cliff surrounded by his family. Sandy, as he was affectionately known, was born June 30, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lester and Leila (Jibson) Sanderson. Sandy had served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Chemical Engineer from Borden Chemical in Louisiana. He considered himself a Humanist for several decades.
Sandy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maxine; a daughter, April Wikstrom and her husband Paul of Cliff; two sisters, Pat Kendall and husband Tom of Asheville, North Carolina, and Margaret Kelly originally of Michigan.
