Meredith Snyder, 79, of Ft. Wayne, went on to Glory with his Lord on March 2, 2011 at 6:05 p.m. surrounded by family and friends. Mel was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was an electronics technician for Magnavox and Command Systems, Inc.. Mel was an active member of Broadway Christian Church and the former Curdes Ave. Missionary Church.
He loved serving his Lord in various capacities throughout his life. He served as Vice President of Statewood Park Homeowners Association for many years. He was also the Past President of Parkview Hospital White Cross Auxiliary. Mel was blessed with many dear friends and never knew a stranger. He was preceded in death by his first wife Doris (Trump) Snyder and his brother, Maurice Snyder of Syracuse, IN.
Surviving are his loving wife, Pamela, his brother, Wellington Snyder of Decatur, his daughters, Vicki Snyder and Pamela (Tom) Madison of Ft. Wayne, his son, Steven (Bernatka) Snyder of Radom, Poland, step-daughter, Lori Kieres of Sandwich, IL and eight grandchildren.
