Merced V. Hernandez, Sr., 56, of 1981 Countryside Drive, Ringgold, VA died at his residence, Thursday, April 15, 2010. Born January 7, 1954 in Mexico, he was the son of Maria Cruz Hernandez and the late Humberto Hernandez. He was employed with Adams Construction as a mechanic and was of the Catholic faith. He had been a resident of the United States for 30 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Tonia Lynn Hernandez of Stokesdale, NC, a very special mother-in-law, Susie Collie of the residence, a son, Merced V. Hernandez, II, and wife, Vicki of Blairs, a grandson, Tristan Hernandez, five brothers and five sisters.
