Menoka Parrish, 82, of Thoburn Dr. Monongah passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 18, 1934 in Gaurdian, WV (Webster County); daughter of the late Hayes and Beatrice McElwain Hall; her grandparents, Bill and Bessie McElwain, whom she referred to as Mom and Dad.

Menoka is survived by one son, Lloyd and Sandra Parrish of Enterprise; one grandson, Lloyd Parrish II, of Enterprise; one granddaughter, April Parrish of Clarksburg; three step granddaughters, Rhonda and Rob Vance of Shinnston, Kayla and Cierra Coberly both of Enterprise; one great grandson, Cruz Parrish; two step great grandsons, Matthew and Jordan Cowger two brothers, Cletus and Helen Hall, Keith Hall all of Ohio; one sister, Nadine and Warren “Jargo” Cochran of Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Edith and Donna Hall both of Ohio; special niece, Karen Starcher of Worthington; lifelong dear friend, Francis Toothman of Four States; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Stewart Lee Parrish, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Lynn Hall; one sister-in-law, Jene Hall.

Menoka worked as a housekeeper for 10 years at Fairmont Motor Lodge and was a sales clerk at Hertzog Drugstore in Worthington for 4 years. She was a Sunday school teacher at the Teverbaugh Baptist Church. She loved to cook, shop and visit family.
