Life – Love Journey

Bishop Melvina Fields was a gift from God and also a reflection of God. God blessed her with many spiritual gifts and she used each one of those gifts to Bless others. Bishop Fields will
always be remembered by all that she touched through the word of God, with a warm smile that lit up the world, a hug, a tear of sorrow and joy and always a word of encouragement to others to seek and hold fast to God’s unchanging hands – whether you wanted to hear it or not, in season or out of season– as she did the will of God as she walked this earth on her Christian journey of Life.

A Time to be Born and a Time to Die:
Melvina Elizabeth Fields, affectionately known as Bonnie was a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Our Beloved Queen departed this earth after a
heroic battle in the war of heart disease. Where she was victorious over many episodes over the course of many years. Alas, her final battle ended in eternal victory on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 68 at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. Melvina was born to the late Charles and Francis Warrick on March 28th, 1953 in Easton Maryland.

A Time to Live
Bonnie graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1971. She attended Sojourner Douglas College majoring in business, with a concentration in Human Resources. In 1973, she obtained
her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Chesapeake College. Bonnie worked in many capacities regarding the care of children and the training of families. She
became active in the ministry in 1987 and was ordained under the Church of God in May of 1996. In 2010, she was ordained as Bishop Fields under Emmanuel Deliverance Center by the
spiritual direction of Bishop Juanita Worton-Church. Throughout her Christian journey, she primarily worked in the ministry by teaching New Christian Convert Classes and eventually
focusing on the needs of Women. Bishop Fields believed that to see a need, was a mandate to meet that need. She was an advocate for the rights of minorities and underserved populations.
She fought tirelessly for those who were unable to fight for themselves. This drive to serve manifested itself at an early age and became more intense as she grew older. This call to action
resulted in Feed My Sheep Outreach Ministries. Bishop Melvina Fields dedicated her life to serving God by helping others.

A Time to Love
Alvin Fields, her soldier boy, was the love of her life. Alvin and Melvina were united in holy matrimony on February 19, 1972. This union was blessed with three beautiful daughters:
Tyneese, Khedra, and Lesley.

A Time for Fun
By the way, let us not forget her favorite hobbies -she loved shopping, cooking, decorating for Christmas, displaying and using her treasured, precious heirlooms of crystal handed down from
her mother and grandmother. She didn’t save the crystal for special holidays, she believed everyday above ground with her family and friends was special in the eyes of God. Melvina
loved God, God loved her and that love showed in every aspect of her life.

A Time to Embrace:
Bishop Melvina Fields leaves to embrace and cherish her memory and rejoice in her eternal victory, her husband of 49 years, Alvin Fields; three daughters: Tyneese Fields, Khedra Fields
Barclay (Kwame) Lesley Fields; Leo (her fur baby); three granddaughters: Kanige Brooks, Nevaeh and Nia Barclay; her Godson: Leon Kenneth Turner III; two brothers: Charles Warrick,
Jr. and Charles (Billie) Warrick Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

Bishop Melvina Fields was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Charles Warrick Sr., her sister, Sharron, and a brother Terry, and many loving aunts and Uncles.
