Melvin Parks entered into this world on September 8,1961, in Indianapolis, the son of Agreta Washington and Melvin Parks.
Melvin confessed a hope in Christ at a young age. He attended school #40 #23 and #4 also Harry Wood High School.
Melvin was a kind and sensitive person. Well loved by many, he was the life of the party. He made people laugh with his special way of saying things and his facial expressions. Whenever you saw him, he was always neatly dressed.
He was also a part of the California Street cousins, who were more like sisters and brothers, than cousins. You didn’t see one without the other.
Melvin departed this life on May 16,2019. He was preceded in his death by his nephew, Jamarr Dwayne Scruggs
Melvin leaves to cherish his memory to his faithful and devoted daughters, Terrinicka Porchia and Katrice Moffatt; granddaughter, Brooklynn Moffatt; grandson, Javiontae Hughes Jr. mother, Agreta Washington; sister, Diane Woodson (Gordon); brother David Parks (Catherine) and a host of nieces nephews aunts cousins and friends. Melvin was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
