Melvin Perry Burnett was born November 27, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Rev. James and Roberta Burnett.
Our beloved brother departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Melvin was 67 years old. He was united in marriage to Karen Paige on May 14, 1995. This union was blessed with four children: Keisha Paige, Melvetta Burnett-Paige, Santas Burnett-Paige and Eleni Burnett-Paige.
Melvin (Bo) lived in California briefly and began working for his Aunt Ruth as an installer for her window covering business where his love for fixing and installing began. Melvin was a master carpenter and spent most of his time gardening and cooking. In his early days, he spent a lot of his time traveling the country and embarking on wild and crazy adventures such as tubing down the Colorado River, and hand gliding off the side of California Mountains. At an early age he became a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized by his father.
Left to cherish his memory is a loving and devoted wife of 27 years, Karen; daughters , Melvetta, Santas, Eleni; grandchildren, Mykhal Paige-McCloud, Mersean Paige-McCloud, Julian Paige, Lillian Paige; Sister, Theodora Alexander, Brothers; James (Gretchen) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert (Carla), Fred (Charlotte) of Columbus, Ohio, and Keith (Michelle) of Rockwall, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Rev. James and Roberta Burnett, two half-sisters, Claudine Woodson and Willie- James Key, and daughter Keisha Paige.

Melvin now rests peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior, so as you mourn his passing, also take time to celebrate his life by cherishing his memories.
