Melvin “Mel” Anderson Laub 1934-2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Melvin”Mel” Anderson Laub announces his passing, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, with his wife by his side at the age of 82 years.
Mel was born in Ogden, UT on April 4, 1934. He was the first born of twins to
Vasco and Alta Lealette Laub.
While attending MAD (Monrovia, Arcadia & Duarte) High School he excelled in sports: diving, football and basketball winning many awards. In 1951, MAD lost to Pomona but Mel’s performance recognized him as a “shining star”.
A man of prodigious energy and determination, “Mower Mel” had a successful Gardening business for over 40 years that began with helping a Senior cut his lawn.
“If you were a stranger, Mel met you, by the end, you were a friend”
He will be truly missed!!!!
Mel will be forever remembered and loved by; Wife, Joyce.
Son, Leon (Sue), grand-children, Katie (Wes) and Chris, great grand-children Shawn and Jackson.
Step-Son, Frank (Regina), grand-children, Cameo, Pam (Dustin), great grand-children, Madison and Maxwell. Step-Son, Roger (Kerry) Step-Daughter, Trish ( Dan), grandchild Keith Brother and twin, Marvin (Carlene)
Mel will be lovingly remembered by numerous in -laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and Dear, dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother, Dale.
