Melvin Holland, 91, of Greenwood, died Friday March 31, 2017 in Indianapolis.
He was born August 13, 1925 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John and Ella (Robinson) Holland.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Melvin was employed with the L.E.Myers Company in Indianapolis for 27 years as a construction electrician.
He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime Masonic member of the Jenny Lind Post no.503 in Arkansas.
Melvin enjoyed going to auctions, tinkering and gardening with his neighbors.
Melvin is survived by three children, Wayman “Butch” (Ina Marie) Holland and Melva Jean Neely both of Greenwood and Raymond (Susan K.) Holland of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Jean (Vandermillion) Holland, his parents, and 11 siblings.
